Golf Memberships

As of January 16th, we had 713 members, which is a few more than our projection of 709.  We might expect a few more by the end of the month, but that still leaves us short by at least 25 members.

We will be making up the shortfall with savings from the Pro Shop payroll, increased revenue from set aside tee times and savings from Golf Course Maintenance.

Since there have been significant standbys on the Friday tee sheets, we have eliminated the five set aside tee times for Fridays. Do to our payroll savings, we believe we can do this at this time.

I have been interviewing candidates for the position and have narrowed my focus to three men. All are PGA professionals and well qualified for the job. I have also conducted second interviews of all three. I am in the process of checking references and should have a decision soon. We will be able to hire within the target salary.

Lake Bank Restoration

Gordon Lewis was here two weeks ago to walk the areas on the priority list for lake bank restoration that are next on the list. These areas include the resident portion of the lake on the right side of #16 and the driving range lake. We will not have enough funds to complete the driving range lake. We will first do the area from #18 green to the driving range, as the erosion in that area is significant. Once the work is defined, Mr. Lewis will solicit bids on our behalf, which will be due in late February.
